I'm still stalled. In researching I find this is common around weeks 3 and 4. It is somewhat discouraging. I can't let myself dwell on this lack of progress but instead focus on the big picture. The final outcome is what matters.
To keep myself motivated I must count the NSV (non scale victorries) and this week I have two!
There's a pair of shorts I bought shortly after we moved here that I couldn't fit over my big butt several weeks ago. I'm happy to report these now fit!!! I'm down at just about where we were when we moved to Texas.
Shortly after we moved to Texas I hurt my rotator cuff. At that time I found out that I had degenerating hips and spinal stenosis. The tear happened when we were unloading pod number 2. I had the surgery and then sat on my butt for months. This started my major decline. I got lazy. I got used to sitting around all day. I also had gained to the point that I could no longer walk for any distance. We started going to garage sales and found a great deal on an exercise bike. I wanted it so we snatched it up!! Unfortunately I was unable to ride it due to the hip pain. I have now lost enough weight that I am only 5 lbs heavier than I was in 2010. A couple of days ago I dusted off the bike and got on and rode for 10 minutes!! I am going to increase the time I ride every day until I am riding for at lease 20 minutes at a time. Who knows, maybe some day I will be able to ride for an hour and get a bike to ride around town!
Well that's about it for this week Saturday is my birthday but today we are going on an overnight trip so I need to get ready and pack!!!
Keep on keeping on!
